Christians are so predictable.

In the wake of the mass murders in Norway, I’m willing to bet you $100,000 that some Christian apologist will claim there’s no such thing as Christian extremism. Oh, wait. John Guardiano of The American Spectator did that yesterday.

Okay, how about this? I’ll bet you that some Christians will blame violent video games. Wait; Bill Muehlenberg of Virtue Online did that the day before yesterday.

Well, I’ll bet you that other Christians will claim this is God’s judgment on Noway for turning away from him. Don’t tell me they’ve already done that too!

Okay. But surely they’ve at least had the decency not to claim this as a “win” for their side. Right?

The Christian Post, based on … well, not much, is reporting that the massacres have brought Norway back to God: “Norway Shooting: Nation Turns to God, Prayer After Massacre.

Um … the only evidence in support of the headline is that (a) the churches have announced they’ll be open for business on Saturday and (b) “Some prayer services were broadcast live over Norwegian radio.” Wow. Revival sweeps the nation.

Jesus must be turning over in his grave.

Kudos on the good research, DV8. I’ll check those out.
